Mrs. E. M. Fly Dead

Word was revived in Gonzales yesterday by relatives stating that Mrs. Nannie Fly, widow of Mr. E. M. Fly, had died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Beetley, in Rockport, Monday morning at 7:30 o'clock. Mrs. Fly was the mother of Judge W. S. Fly of San Antonio. Her death was due to old age. In the early days of Gonzales, Mr. And Mrs. Fly were citizens of Gonzales, living east of town. In the 70's Mr. Fly moved to Rockport and for many years and until his death conducted the Rockport Beacon. Mrs. Fly was a kind and noble women and admired by all of our old citizens who had the pleasure of knowing her. Judge Fly was with his mother at the time of her death.
The sympathy of many friends in Gonzales will be extended the children in their sorrow in the loss of their mother.
