Sweetwater - Mrs. Etta (Mom) Watson, 89, longtime Sweetwater resident, died at 5:40 a.m. Wednesday in Simmons Memorial Hospital following a long illness.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Cate-Spencer Chapel. Burial will be in Sweetwater Cemetery.

Mrs. Watson was born June 3, 1883 in Erath County. She married A. C. Watson in 1900 in Erath County. He died in 1943. She had lived in Sweetwater for 56 years. She was a Baptist.

Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. R. R. (Thelma) Cooper of Cisco; four sons, J. Paul of Sweetwater, Amon of Austin, Dean of Odessa, and Billy of Beaumont; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
