Mr. Duckett was a son of the late David and Harriett Robinson Duckett. He was a farmer in the Leicester section before going to Alabama to work at the Muscle Shoals power project.
At the time of his death, he was a retired official of the Martin Stove and Range Co. of Florence.
Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Laura Wells Duckett; two daughters, Mrs. Joel Henson of Muscle Shoals and Mrs. Paul Wallace of Florence; a sister, Mrs. Ida Gossett of Asheville; a half-sister, Mrs. Ed King of Asheville; a half-brother, Claude Auldredge of Asheville; and three grandchildren.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 3, 1961, in Morrison and Elkins Funeral Home in Florence. Burial was in Tri-City Memorial Gardens in Florence.
