John Clifford Bozard, 73, of 1618 Old Barnwell Road, he was a son of the late John Emmett and Felishia Austin Bozard. He was a custodian of Schneider and Rosewood elementary schools in Columbia from 1955 to 1974. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Red Bank Baptist Church.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Nellie Sanders Bozard; sons, Michael and Paul Bozard of Lexington; sisters, Mrs. Myrtis Kaigler of Columbia and Mrs.ThelmaYoungblood of Lexington and Mrs. Clara A. McCullough of Columbia; brothers, the Rev. Alvin Bozard of Irmo, Beverly Bozard of West Columbia and Hoyt Bozard of St. Matthews; and grandchildren.Memorials may be made to Red Bank Baptist Church.Plans will be announced by Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel.Published In The State Friday December 21, 1984
