Imogene "Jean" Blissett was born in Freestone County, TX on April 12, 1919 and passed away in Madisonville, TX on July 20, 2009. She was a life long member of the Glad Tidings Assembly of God of Houston, she loved to cook and bake for visitors, family, and the church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Blissett, son, Jimmie Blissett, Daughter, Yvonne Stolicki, Grandson, Kelly Wayne Hairston and great grandson, Joshua. Survivors include her daughters, Juanese "Wendy" Baker and her husband David and LaWanda Hairston and her husband Kelley, eight grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, sisters, Faye Childs, Mable Utsey, Peggy DeBorde. A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., on Wednesday, at the South Park Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 23, 2009. Interment in the South Park Cemetery.
