Billy G. Barrett, 81, died Saturday, November 14, 2015 at his home near Wheatland.

Billy Barrett was born August 12, 1934 in Tennessee the son of Billy Gracy and Hilda Mae (Heath) Barrett. He was raised and educated in Murfreeboro, Tennessee. He served in the United States Air Force. In 1956 he moved to Denver, Colorado where he met the love of his life, Nila Marie Garhart. They were married in Denver on February 4, 1957. They moved to Wyoming in 1975 living in Manville and Wheatland. He worked at various jobs and owned businesses in Wheatland.

He enjoyed raising mules, fishing, hunting, and in later years reading.

He is survived by his children, Rhonda Barrett of Casper, Wyoming, Billie Hite of Wheatland, Sandy (Carl) Quick of Douglas, Wyoming, Shirley Barrett of Casper, and Eric Lenz of Wheatland; brothers, David Barrett, Rusty Barrett, and Bobby Barrett all of Murfreeboro; 11 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John Barrett; and sisters, Jenny LaFleur, Minnie Palmer, Marie Taylor, and Rebecca Lawson.
