"Mrs. Mary Alice (Kessel) Hausbeck, devoted mother, homemaker, partner and caregiver, passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 10, 2005 at the home of her daughter in Traverse City. Age 69 years. Mary Alice Kessel was born April 30, 1936, the daughter of the late Albert and Esther (LaChance) Kessel. She was married on April 27, 1963 in Owosso. She was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church. She had been employed by HealthSource Saginaw as an occupational therapist, retiring in 2000.

Funeral Mass will take place 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 15, 2005 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 6400 McCarty Rd. Rev. Fr. Loren Kalinowski will officiate, with entombment in St. Andrew's Mausoleum. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd., from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, where they may meet at 8:00 p.m. Sunday for a vigil service. Friends and family may then call at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of funeral Mass. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider Munson Hospice, Traverse City, or VNA/ Hospice: Partners in Caring, Saginaw.
