Jeanette Allmond Guntner, age 76, of Pensacola, FL, died Thursday, November 12, 2015 from complications of kidney failure & heart disease. She was born November 23, 1939 in Statesboro, GA. She spent most of her life & raised her family in Pensacola, FL.
She was preceded in death by her mother & father Mose & Mary Allmond of Statesboro, GA, two brothers, James Allmond and Harvey Allmond.
Surviving brothers, Mickey Allmond, Mark Allmond & Dwight Allmond.
She leaves behind her husband of 55 years, George W. Guntner; five children, Julia C. Jurjens of Milton, FL, Caroly D. Kimmons of Samson, AL, Barry R. Guntner of Cantonment, FL, Cheryl L. Gilchrist of Pensacola, FL and George W. "Walt" Guntner of Cantonment, FL. She also leaves behind 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Her children's & grandchildren's friends & ckassnateswere always welcome in her home. She was a mother to so many more than just her own children. There was always a seat at her table or a bed in her house for teenage kids running in & out her door. She never knew an enemy & was always a giving soul. No matter the mistakes a person made, she was forgiving & loving. She always put family & others before herself and would be there for anyone at anytime. She was truly one of God's angels. And will be missed by all that loved her.
Funeral services will be Sunday, November 15, 2015 at 2 PM at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home with Chaplain Ken Griffin officiating. Interment will follow in Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 PM until the service hour.
