C. Kaye Denny, 70, of Front Royal, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, November 15, 2015.
Kaye was born on November 28, 1944 in Baltimore, Maryland, daughter of the late Paul Kennedy and Elese Morris Kennedy.
Kaye graduated from Keokee High School in 1963 and attended Eastern Kentucky University.
She lived and worked in Ohio, Florida, California, and Virginia, before settling permanently in Front Royal in 1973. Kaye worked for Avtex for many years and then became a deputy clerk for the Warren County Circuit Court until her retirement.
Kaye adored the family cat Sam, loved animals, was an avid sports fan and enjoyed reading and playing cards.
Kaye is survived by her husband, Bill Denny; one sister, Paula Ferrara and brother-in-law John of Connecticut and their children, Jessica Stiefel and Jonathan Ferrara; her stepmother, Millie Kennedy; her step-sister, Donna Coover and brother-in-law Don Coover of Ohio; step-brother Gary Brewsaugh of Ohio and children, Jeff Pfarr, Dawn Arnold and Grant Brewsaugh; brother-in-law, Jim Darke and children, Courtney Darke and Erin Darke and her husband Yihwin Huang; her cherished great nieces, Lilly Huang and Lucy Huang of California; step-daughter, Terry Denny Cupp and husband Robert Cupp; two step-grandchildren, Jamison Olinger and Britt Cupp; and two step-great grandchildren Ellison Olinger and Anderson Olinger.
Kaye was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Joan Darke.
The family will receive friends on Monday, November 23, from 6-8 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home. Burial will be private per Kaye's request.
