Survived by four daughters, Eva S. Drake, Amy Scott, Mrs. Dixon Kendrick and Mrs. E.A. Horne; one son, Hubert B. Scott; one sister, Beaulah Shupling; 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 31, 1956 at the J. F. Floyd Mortuary by the Revs. Jon Davenport and B. H. Tucker. Burial was in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were Joe Scott, James Reel, Cleon Moon, George Partin, Bill Cullum and Sid Law.
