OBITUARY
Bulloch Hearld Bulloch County GA Monday 31 Oct 1957 Mrs. Gordon Blitch, 92, one of Bulloch county's oldest citizens and a member of one of the early pioneer families of Bulloch county died in Statesboro last Monday after a long illness. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. J. A. Brett and Mrs. Harry W. Smith, both of Statesboro and Mrs. Fred L. Shearouse, Savannah, six grandchildren adn ten great-grandchildren. She was the widow of the late Gordon Blitch, one of Stateboro's earliest merchants. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 11 am at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. H. W. Smith and were conducted bu Rev. Dan Williams of the First Methodist Church. Burial was in Eastside cemetery. Smith-Tillman Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
