Guy G. Reese, 88, of Catawissa, passed away Thursday, Nov. 12, 2015, at Maria Hall, Danville. He was born Jan. 18, 1927, in Berwick, a son of the late Garner and Ellen (Miller) Reese.
He attended Catawissa schools and then enlisted in the Army during World War II. Guy was a member of Esther Furnace Church and Roaring Creek Valley Church. He worked at Emenee Shirt Factory and retired from Southern Columbia School District where he was a custodian.
Guy is survived by his wife, the former Dolores J. Small, whom he married June 28, 1969; as well as a son, Brad T. Reese, and wife, Mitzie, of Catawissa; two grandchildren: Brady and Emily Reese; and a sister, Pauline Roberts, of Catawissa.
Guy was preceded in death by his parents as well as two brothers, Kimber and Donald Reese; and two sisters: Arlene Dowett and Geraldine Reese.
Services will be Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2015, at 11 a.m. at the Allen R. Horne Funeral Home, 193 McIntyre Road, Catawissa, with Pastor Chris Dunlap, Columbia Montour Hospice Chaplain, officiating. Burial will follow at Esther Furnace Cemetery.
