RICHMOND, Ind. – Harriet Daugherty, age 88, of Richmond, died Thursday, November 12, 2015, at Reid Health. Born December 29, 1926, to Leonard and Garnet White Veal, Harriet lived most of her life in Richmond. She worked as a respiratory therapist at Reid Hospital for 22 years, Lincare Inc. for 10 years, and she later worked in home healthcare. Harrriet enjoyed sewing, reading, and being a homemaker. She loved being a resident at Golden Living-Richmond where she enjoyed various activities and made many friends. Survivors include her daughters, Diane (Harry) Barfield and Peggy (Larry) Dalbey, both of Richmond; step-daughter, Rachel (Tom) Riley of Richmond; grandchildren, Darrin and Missy Daugherty, Brian and Jeff Barfield, Kim Morris, Chad Dalbey, and Katherine Riley; several great-grandchildren; sister, Donna Crouse; cousins; nieces; nephews; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ray; second husband, Dale; and sons, Raymond, Ronnie, and Joe Daugherty. A funeral service for Harriet Daugherty will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 16, 2015, at Earlham Memorial Mausoleum with Pastor Kyle Allen officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond.
