Services were held Oct 20, for Charles A. Clark, 56 at the First United Presbyterian church in Monticello with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. The Rev. Willis Longer officiated at the services.
Charles A. Clark was born April 19, 1928 in Delaware Co, IA, the son of Marion and Florence Streets Clark. He received his early education in schools near his family home. He graduated from Anamosa High School in 1945 and served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. After his discharge from the service, he returned to the Monticello area. He married Kathryn Bender on Feb. 17, 1949 at Manchester. The made their home in Monticello, in 1952 they moved to Pomona, CA. They returned to Monticello in 1968 when they purchased the Monticello Machine Shop. He was an Iowa branch member to the Blacksmiths and Welders Association.
Charles is survived by his wife, two daughters, Barbara Ferradino of Ontario, CA and Jana Brashaw of Cedar Rapids, two sons, Paul Clark of Perry and Bruce Clark of Monticello, nine grandchildren, his parents and a sister, Betty Tannen of Lake Montezuma, AZ.
