Olin Bell, 76, who with his brother John Bell established the Bell Brothers' Piano Company here in 1914 is dead at the home of a daughter, Mrs. William Paulson, in Forest Hills, N.Y. He had been ill five months. Mrs. Grace Brush, 515 West Howard street, another daughter, received word of the death yesterday.
Mr. Bell was born February 20, 1865, in Mishawaka. He lived in Kansas for a number of years and it was in that state that the Bell Brothers' piano was first built. They also operated music stores in that state.
The factory built here has been idle for several years. Mr. Bell was a member of the Elks Lodge and the First Baptist Church.
Surviving besides the two daughters are four grandchildren.
The body will be brought to Muncie for funeral services at 1:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the First Baptist Church, the Dr. J. Marion Smith in charge. Entombment will be in Elm Ridge Cemetery. The body will arrive here at 11 o'clock Wednesday morning and will be removed to the Meeks mortuary.
