AGE: 93 •

Age 93, passed away on November 11, 2015 at the Heartland Hospice House. Elizabeth retired from the DuPont Hotel in 1982 where she worked in the banquet department. She was a lifelong member of St. Anthony of Padua Church where she was a member and former president of the Ladies Auxiliary and the Blessed Virgin Mary Sodality. She was also a member of the Sons of Italy Giuseppe Verdi Lodge, the Columbus Day Women of the Year in 1983, and a volunteer at the St. Anthony of Padua Italian Festival and a former Treasurer of its Feast Day Committee.

Elizabeth is survived by her son, Joseph Jr. (Joanne); 3 daughters, Marguerite Werner (Robert), Jacqueline Brown (Thomas), and Adrian Morris (Glenn); 6 grandchildren, Lucia Spillan (James), Joseph Capodanno III, Julie Smith (Brian), Steven Werner (Wendy), Jennifer Werner, and Patrick Brown; and 4 great-grandchildren, Dalton, Darby and Bailee Spillan, and Andrew Werner. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Sr. in 2011; her parents, James and Lucia; her siblings; and her granddaughter, Kelly Brown.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 9th and DuPont Sts in Wilmington, on Monday afternoon, November 16 at 1pm. Interment will follow in Cathedral Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the CHARLES P. ARCARO FUNERAL HOME, 2309 Lancaster Ave in Wilmington, on Sunday evening, November 15 from 5-7pm, and again the following morning prior to mass from 11:30am-12:30pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
