Herman Ahlgrim, 77, 817 Lincolnway, died at 2:37 a.m. today at Porter Xemorial hospital after a prolonged illness.

He was born March 15, 1884, son of Ellwood and Louise Ahlgrim.

Survivors are his widow, Louise (Jungjohan); one son, Charles Ault; one daughter, Mrs. Louise Bertig; four grandchildren; one brother, Carl; and one sister, Mrs. Amanda Gustafson, all of Valparaiso.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Bartholomew Funeral home with the Rev. Duane Schroeder of Trinity Lutheran church officiating.

Burial will be in Graceland cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m.
