Bentley rites Planned Sunday. Services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday in Strode chapel for William Siegal Bentley, 94, of Rt. 1, Coyle, who died Thursday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Cora E. Moore, 1208 Husband. The Rev. Marvin McNiel will officiate with interment at the Oak Grove cemetery under the direction of Strodes.
William S. Bentley was born on Jan. 31, 1862, at Joplin, Mo., son of John and Charlotti Bentley. He was married to Flora B. Bowen in Wellington, Kans., on June 21, 1895. They came to Oklahoma, making the run in 1889 and located on a claim in Paradise township, where he has lived until his death. He was a member of the Methodist church and was a retired farmer.
His wife preceded him in death on Nov. 21, 1911. He is survived by four sons and four daughters who are Mrs. Anna Allison, Buena Park, Calif., W.E. Bentley, Fresno, Calif., Mrs. Verdie E. Freeman, Coyle; U.M. Bentley, Oklahoma City, H.D. Bentley, Chanler; D.R. Bentley, LaHabra, Calif.; Mrs. Irma L. Holbrook, Anaheim Calif., and Mrs. Moore of Stillwater. There are also 21 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren who survive. Bearers will be Leo Graves, Raymond Biby, Vernon Davis, Dale Webber, Roy Listerman and Louise Montgomery.
