1909, he married Martha E.
"Mattie" Fox, in Greenbrier
County, WV.

He was a Methodist Minister
and Pastor of the Methodist
Church in Anderson, Indiana
for 28 years.

He was survived by his wife,
Martha; his son, Mallory W.
Bransford; and 6 grandchildren.

Church here, Dr. Wesley H. Bransford, 8051
Dowich Lane, Indianapolis, died Tuesday
evening at a nursing center there.
He was 91.

Funeral rites will be conducted Friday
at First United Methodist Church, by Dr.
Donald LeSuer, Dr. Orrin Manifold, and
Dr. Virgil Bjork. Burial will be in
Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may call today, 2-9 p.m. at
Baker Brothers Funeral Home and at the
church Friday during the hour prior to
the service.

Dr. Bransford served as Pastor of the
Anderson Church from 1931 until his
retirement, a span of
28 years.

His ministry continued beyond retirement,
for he went on to serve the Kilohana Methodist
church in Honolulu, Hawaii, and the Community
Church in Tropical Gulf Area in Florida, near
Fort Myers. New churches were erected in
both places under his leadership. His last
ministry was in Estero, Florida.

Born in Williamsburg, WV, he was graduated
in 1913 from Lebanon College and received
his Theological education at Bonebrake
Seminary in Dayton, OH. He also did
graduate study at Union Seminary and the
University of Chicago. Dr. Bransford
travelled extensively in South America.

He was a 50-year member of the Mt. Moriah
Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rite Valley of
Indianapolis.

Surviving are his wife, Marths; a son, Mallory,
of Indianapolis; and six grandchildren.
