PHILIPSBURG - Dorothy M. Rothrock, 88, a resident of Mountain Laurel Health and Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield, and formerly of Philipsburg, died Sunday, Nov. 8, 2015, at Penn Highlands Clearfield.

Mrs. Rothrock was born on April 24, 1927, in Mifflin County, but was raised in Chester Hill. She was a daughter of the late John and Bertha (Smiley) Collins.

She was a Protestant by faith, enjoyed walking and spending time with her family.

Mrs. Rothrock was a 1944 graduate of the Philipsburg High School, and was employed for 22 years with the General Cigar Company in Philipsburg, until her retirement.

She wed Carl P. Karkolly on Sept. 1, 1946, in Philipsburg.

e preceded her in death on Jan. 4, 1954.

She then married Clark E. Rothrock in 1989, who preceded her in death in 1994.

In addition to her parents and both husbands, she was preceded in death by a son, John J. Karkolly, four sisters and five brothers. She was the last of her generation.

She is survived by a daughter, Sandra J. Pritchard of Philipsburg; two granddaughters, Sonya Pritchard of Downingtown and Lauren Pritchard of Philipsburg; three great-grandchildren, Cayla Kolbe, Ryann and Liam Folmar.

She is also survived by a daughter-in-law, Tammy Kardolly of Philipsburg; also numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for Mrs. Rothrock will be held on a future date to be announced. At Mrs. Rothrock's request, there will be no public visitation.

Interment will be at Philipsburg Cemetery.
