Nancy's Death Certificate gives her date of birth as November 6, 1869 and as 75 years 4 months and 14 days old. Her date of death was March 20, 1945 at 7:32 A.M. She lived in Cedar Springs at the Adult Conversation Club for about 6 months before her death. She is shown as widowed, however, I believe that she and Samuel Abner Clopton were divorced before 1924 as HE is in the 1920 Census of Pettis County with a second wife and children. It says in that census that this was marriage #2 for him and that he had been married 9 years so they would have been divorced by 1901.

Samuel Abner Clopton:
June 1, 1915 - Herrin Avenue, Queens County, New York, State Census.
Samuel A. Clopton is 45, Head of Household. Occupation: Horse Dealer
Blanche, 36, number of years in US: 33. He lived his out there with Blanche L. Boyd, his second wife and is buried in the Flushing Cemetery, Flushing, Queens County, New York.

Nancy is buried beside her brother, John Franklin Hicks and his wife. Her tombstone say "SISTER" Nancy E. Clopton.
