Funeral services for Lacey DeWeese, age 38, of Abilene, will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 14, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church in Abilene with Pastor Kerry Coup, Reverend John Collins, and Reverend Jenny Collins officiating. Lacey passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at the St. Anthony Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri the result of being struck by a car during a walk while in town visiting her father in law. She was born May 11, 1977 in Great Bend, Kansas the daughter of Larry “Duff” and Nicki (Gibbs) Dolton. Lacey graduated from Abilene High School and received her Associates Degree as a Radiologic Technician from Hutchinson Community College.On October 15, 2003 Lacey married Dustin DeWeese in Hawaii. Together they had four loving children.Lacey loved traveling in the mountains, spending time with her family and friends but above all else she loved her children and her husband.Lacey is survived by her husband Dustin of the home, her daughters Randa, Tylar, Jace, and her son Nicolas DeWeese all of the home. She is also survived by her father & mother Nicki and Duff Dolton of Abilene, and her sister Tisha and her husband Bill Short of Abilene. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Nick and Vi Gibbs and Ray and Margaret Dolton.Lacey’s final resting place will be in the Abilene Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lacey DeWeese Scholarship Fund for the benefit of people going into the Health Care Profession and may be sent in care of the Martin-Becker-Carlson Funeral Home, 414 NW 3rd, Abilene, Kansas 67410.
