Evan Decker, age 69, passed away Thursday, December 10 at his home in the Delta community.
Funeral services were held Sunday, December 13 at 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home with Brothers Ernest Keith and Farrell Morrow officiating. Burial was in Dolen Cemetery at Barrier.

Evan Decker was born March 29, 1912 and passed away December 10, 1981 about 9:00 p.m. He was 69 years old. He was saved and joined the Lower Turkey Baptist Church where he was a member until death. He was the son of Frank and Elizabeth Decker, who preceded him in death.
Evan was married to Evie Keith December 28, 1934. She preceded him in death on December 4, 1973. To this union was born five children. Four preceded him in death, Edward, Billy, Howard, and Arnold. One child survives, Nellie Tucker of Clay Hill. He has eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Evan was married to Pauline Hammond August 13, 1974, who survives. He has six brothers, Stokie, Dillan, and Rubin of Barrier, Kentucky, Kelly of Indianapolis, Indiana, and two preceded him in death, Conard and Millton. He has seven sisters, Lillian Gregory, Pearl Davenport, Mascon Abbott of Indianapolis, Indiana, Celesten Kenton of Todd County, Lonnie Worley and Wiladen Lair of Monticello, and one preceded him in death, Delia.
