Mrs. Sue Hyde Died This Morning
Mrs. Sue Hyde, aged in the eighties, died this morning at her home east of Brock. She had suffered with the flu, which together with her advanced age, caused her demise. Her husband, Cyrus Hyde, died a number of years ago. Last night at about 9 o'clock her son-in-law, John Eggleston, who lives close by visited her and she was apparently all right.

Susan M. Kuntz, daughter of George and Louisa Kuntz, was born in Noble County, Ohio, July 13, 1846, and departed this life at her home eight miles north of Memphis, January 3, 1929, at the ripe old age of 83 years, 6 months, and 10 day. The cause of her death being heart trouble. She came with her parents to Scotland County in 1865, and has lived here ever since. She was married to Cyrus Hyde, January 26, 1878. To this union was born one child, Mrs. John Eggleston, who survives. Mrs. Hyde's faith held to the Congregational Church. She was a great lover of home and found great pleasure in helping the poor and needy. She was a loving mother, a good neighbor, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Besides her daughter she leaves to mourn three grandchildren, two aged sisters, Miss Susan Kuntz of Memphis, Missouri and Mrs. Emma Robison of Greensburg, Missouri besides other relatives and friends. The funeral service was conducted from the home to the Brock Methodist Church, Friday, January 4, at 2 p.m. in the presence of a large number of friends and neighbors. Rev. Arthur S. Olsen officiating. Interment was in the Brock Cemetery, where she was tenderly laid to rest. The pallbearers were O. A. Barnes, Buford Bull, Ed Bechtel, Fred Southmayd, Vance Mankopf, John Roberts. Mr. and Mrs. A. S. Olsen sang three favorite selections of the deceased: "When the Roll is Called Up Yonder," "There is a Fountain Filled with Blood," "Shall we Gather at the River.
