Arthur L. Courtland, 76, of DeWitt passed away April 24, 2001. He was born March 3, 1925, the son of Carl and Katherine (Decker) Courtland. He lived in the DeWitt area all of his life.

He married Mary Lou Hardman July 31, 1948.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and worked at Oldsmobile for 25 years.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Lou; daughter, Lois Courtland of Alberquerque, N.M.; son, Tom Courtland of Lansing; seven nieces and seven nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Howard and Dick [Richard]; and sister, Evelyn.

There were no services. The family was served by Gorsline-Runciman.
