Mrs. Bieber was born April 5, 1958, in Columbus, Ohio, to Ben and Juanita (Hill) Dougan. Her mother is deceased and her father survives in Columbus.
On April 29, 1979, she married Robert Bieber. He survives in Elkhart.
She was the cardiac rehab director for 25 years at Elkhart General Hospital. She later went on to obtain her master’s degree from Southwestern Michigan University, where she also taught for several years. She also taught at ITT for nursing.
Cynthia had a passion for life and loved taking care of people. She had a way of making sure people were in better shape than she found them. She loved to play her guitar and spending time with family. Cynthia also loved to spend time with her husband. They were inseparable and loved each other dearly, doing many things like antiquing and going to football games. She was very Christian, she sang in the church choir at Crossroads Community Church. She also loved animals, especially dogs.
Surviving with her husband and her father are one son, Toby Bieber of Elkhart; one daughter, Dara Bieber of Mishawaka; and two sisters, Pam Foose and Christy Dougan, both of Columbus.
She was preceded in death by her mother and one son, Corey Bieber, who died July 14, 2002.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11, at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home in Elkhart.
Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10.
