Chouteau, James M. was born in Nowata, OK, on March 4, 1923. After serving in the U.S, Navy he returned to college and graduated from Oklahoma A&M (now Oklahoma State University) in Stillwater, OK, as a fire protection engineer. Jim worked for insurance agencies first in Topeka, KS, but mostly in the St. Louis area. In 2009 he was preceded in death by his wife, Neysa Carol Chouteau. He had been in poor health for some time and died in St. Clare Health Center early morning of November 6, 2015. His kindness will be missed by relatives and many friends.
