William “Bill” Andrew Elliott age 82 died Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Carolinas Healthcare Cleveland. Born in Cleveland County on December 22, 1932, he was the son of the late John Henry and Edna Beatrice Rucker Elliott. Bill was raised on a Dairy Farm and was a member of Polkville Baptist Church. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. Bill was a lifetime member of the VFW in Shelby and enjoyed riding his Harley. In addition to his parents, Bill is preceded in death by a brother James Henry Elliott.
Bill is survived by a son, William Elliott Jr. and wife Stephanie of Gastonia; grandchildren, Wyatt Elliott and Tessa Elliott; Cousin, Andy Elliott of Shelby; and a very dear friend, Doris Scronce of Shelby.

Graveside service will be held on Tuesday November 10, 2015 at 2:00pm at Elliott Family Cemetery with Military Honors. The family will receive friends following the service.
