Mrs. Rena Lou Wheatley, age 85, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Saturday, November 7, 2015, at her residence. She was born May 31, 1930, the daughter of Owen C. and Catherine Amanda Hardesty Argabright. Mrs. Wheatley was a member of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church; and a Kentucky Colonel.
Mrs. Wheatley was preceded by her parents; a grandson, Cale Brown; two brothers, J.W. and Bobby Argabright; and two sisters, Margaret Sears and Alice Smith. She is survived by four children, Amanda Brown, and her husband, Tony, Pat Wheatley, Sr., and his wife, Leona, Donna Reed, and her husband, Doug, all of Brandenburg, KY, Rebecca Wells, and her husband, Don, Bradenton, FL, seven grandchildren, Anthony Brown, Megan Wade, Patrick Wheatley, Jr., Christopher Lawson, Aaron Reed, Julie Reed and Ned Brown; five great grandchildren, Breanna, Levi and Ella Wheatley, Caley and Cameron Wade; a brother, Joseph L. Argabright; and two sisters, Linda Kaye Rocco and Carolyn Richardson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, with Rev. Kevin Bryan officiating. Burial will follow in St. George Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Hager Funeral Home from 2-8 PM on Monday, and from at the church, from 9:00 AM until the time of Mass on Tuesday. Vigil Services will be held at 6:00 PM on Monday, at the chapel of the funeral home.
