Donald Leroy Kellison, 84, passed away on Friday, Nov. 6, 2015. He was born in Hollis, OK on Dec. 1, 1930, to John Robert and Jincie Viola (Defore) Kellison. Donald attended school in Ron, OK and in 1958, went to Oklahoma Barber College. Donald served in the Navy 1948-1949, in the Army 1955-1956, and in the Army Reserve 1956-1962. Donald was a carpenter, truck driver, barber, baseball umpire, basketball referee, and was the concession stand manager for Midwest City Baseball Association. He worked in Aircraft Maintenance at Tinker Air Force Base for 32 years until his retirement in 1986. While at Tinker, Donald received several Zero Defects awards as well as commendation for participation in the Pacer Fin Project. Donald loved sports, especially OU football, and was very interested in family history and genealogy. He married Mary Peavy in 1952, and they had two children, Teddy and Karen. He married his second wife, Debra Percival Pearson, in 1980. That union included her children, Boyd Pearson and Dale Pearson. Donald was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers and five sisters; his wife, Debra; and son, Ted. Don is survived by his daughter, Karen Jenkins (Charlie); stepsons, Boyd Pearson, Dale Pearson (Missy); daughter-in-law, Carol Kellison; grandchildren, Wesley Kellison, Sara Blasingame (Keith Navalta), Katelin Blasingame (Victor Smith), Hannah Pearson (Danny Beltran), Kaci Jenkins, Isaac Pearson, and Cooper Pearson; great-grandchildren, Michael Navalta, Parker, Kallie, and Becca Smith; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will be on Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2015, 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. at Ford Funeral Service with the family present 6-8 p.m. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2015, at Del City Church of Christ with burial to follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery in Del City, OK. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Westview Boys Home, P.O. Box 553, Hollis, OK.
