Grandfield - Graveside service for
OLLIE LEE GREEN, 93, Grandfield, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Grandfield Memorial Cemetery with Bruce Colyer, Davidson, officiating.
Mr. Green died Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2006, in Grandfield. Arrangements are under direction of Gray Funeral Home, Grandfield.
Mr. Green was born Nov. 16, 1912, in Tillman County, to W.H. and Ida Grimes Green. He attended elementary school at Union Valley School, west of Grandfield, and Grandfield High School. He married Ina Robbins on Dec. 4, 1939, in Grandfield. He was a farmer and traveled north with the wheat harvest for 20 years. He was employed by Rock Island and Katy Railroads for many years and worked in the oil fields. He also had a small engine shop in Grandfield for 32 years. He was member of Calvary Baptist Church in Grandfield.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Lucille, Sioux Falls, S.D.; a daughter, Wanda Raines, Dover, N.J.; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Roscoe; a daughter, Donna Donley; four brothers, Jimmie, Denson, O.D. and Albert; and three sisters, Pearl Berry, Della Lagrone and Effie Alexander.
