Miss Virginia Ellen Garrett, of Richmond, passed away in Roanoke Saturday, November 28, 1987. She is survived by one sister, Beverly Ann Garrett, Newport News; one brother, James E. Garrett, Jr., and sister-in-law Darlene Wirt Garrett, two nephews, Michael Garrett, and wife, Melissa, and Matthew Garrett, two nieces, Michele and Mary Garrett, all of Roanoke. Her remains rest at the Joseph W. Blimey Funeral Home, 3rd and Marshall Streets, where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Monday and Tuesday and where funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday. Interment in Riverview Cemetery. Miss Garrett was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and an employee of the Ethel Corporation for twenty years.
