There is absolutely no doubt, where the children of Sarah Jeanette Alhand Maddox, obtained their great depth of patience!

Sarah watched over, gave guidance and mothered the children of those who had to work the factories, during the first WWI. Being surrounded with that level of love and patience seeped into the mental depths of her children. Their mother stood the firm ground of serenity and strength right along with that of her husband William Robe Maddox.

Sarah taught her daughters being a Lady was paramount above all else. To her son, she imparted the idea that the man was the strength and backbone of the family security.

Her descendants will forever be grateful to her.
