Marvin W. "Marv" Schultz, 90, of Milton, died unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2009. Marvin was born on Nov. 3, 1918, in Johnstown Township, to the late Otto and Agusta (Kreger) Schultz. In 1941, Marv joined the United States Army and proudly served his country until 1945. In the summer of 1946, on June 21, he would marry Phyllis Rice. He worked for a number of years at the Highway Trailer Plant and then at the Dana Corporation, but most of his life was spent farming. Marv was always doing something, and was never too busy to help out his friends and family. In his spare time, he loved to garden, work with wood, build birdhouses, and just liked to keep busy.

Marvin is survived by his wife, Phyllis Schultz of Milton; four children: Melvin ( Nancy) Schultz, Ginger Nording, Joan (Doug) Arnold, all of Milton, WI, and Connie (Brian) O'Leary of Green Bay, WI; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one sister, Virginia Butke of Janesville, WI; brother-in-law, Frank Rice of Janesville, WI; and many nieces, nephews and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Leo Schultz and Lawrence Schultz; four sisters: Opal Weber, Dorothy Quass, Gladys Schultz, and twin sister, Marion Thayer; son-in-law, Alvin Nording; granddaughter, Lori Nording; brothers-in-law, Al and Russell Rice; and sister-in-law, Arlene Powell.

Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 4, 2009, at the Whitcomb-Lynch-Albrecht Funeral Home, Milton. Military rites will follow the service.
