Ipava, IL - Almedia E. Attkisson, 81, of 9441 N. Locust Road died at 9:26 p.m. Saturday, June 1, 2002, at her home.

Born Nov. 29, 1920, in Pulaski, Tenn., to Dudley Jackson and Lochia Pearl Pierce McNeese, she married Charles Attkisson on July 13, 1946, in Spencer Hill, Tenn. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Kenneth (and Patti) of Hanna City; two daughters, Janice Attkisson of Houston, Texas, and Glynna Attkisson of Canton; five grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren; three brothers, Harvey McNeese, Herbert (and Inez) McNeese and Cecil (and Janice) McNeese, all of Pulaski; and three sisters, Laura Uselton and Mrs. James (Robbie) Edwards of Pulaski and Ledye Sellers of Columbia, Tenn.

She was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.

She was a member of Astoria Church of Christ.

Graveside services will be at Ipava Cemetery in Ipava.
