The messenger of death passed through our neighborhood last Saturday
morning, and called away little James Baird, eight years and a few days old
son of Porter Baird, deceased.
He was a bright-eyed and good little boy, and we have no doubt of his happy
transport to a better country that this-that is a Heavenly one. J.T. Pender attended
his funeral yesterday at 10 am. while a quite large concourse of people were present.
