Father: Michael Barnes Johnston (1842 to 1935)
Mother: Laura Simmons Johnston (6/22/1854 to 3/7/1920).
Spouse: Absulum Benjamin Simpson (spelling varies on documents, nickname was Ab), (8/4/1870 to 5/7/1934).
Ab's first wife: Agusta Linson Simpson (11/22/1878 to 12/27/1963). Emma was Ab's second wife.
Emma and Ab's children: 1.)Infant son (5/25/1920 to 5/25/1920) Emma survived the flu but not her baby.
2.)Lecta Corinne Simpson (5/4/1921 to 4/28/2014 & buried in Fairmont Cemetery in Willow Springs IL as Lecta Smith)
3.) James David Simpson (1/1/1923 to 7/6/1950) After serving in WW II, James suffered from shell shock, now known as PTSD and committed suicide by gunshot wound.
4) Wesley Absolum Simpson (2/8/1925 to 2/12/2012 & is buried in Evergreen Park Cemetery in Cook C. IL). Wesley fell in icy weather and struck his head on concrete. He died of a head injury. Wesley served in the infantry in WW II and the Korean Action.
5) Infant son (1/8/1927 to 1/12/1927) Emma contracted measles while she was pregnant. The baby did not survive.
6)Howard Johnston Simpson (12/27/1927 to 12/08/2007 & buried in Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higgensville MO.) Howard served in the air force.
7) Gordon Benjamin Simpson (6/27/1930 as of 11/15 living) Gordon served in the air force.
After Ab. died, Emma married and divorced Richard Madison Walker (1/18/1869 to 1/4/1949).
Richard and Emma had 2 children: Gale Richard Walker (09/08/1937 to 08/16/2007) and Dale Edward Walker (1940 to living of 11/2015).

Emma was best know for her love faithfulness to God and family and her generous spirit.
