John Avon Babcock, 91, of Hartford passed from this life on earth to eternity in heaven on Saturday, Oct. 18, 2003, at his home.
John was born Sept. 30, 1912, in Silver Creek Township, the son of Avon and Nina (Green) Babcock.
A memorial service to honor his memory will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 15, at the Keeler United Methodist Church, of which he was a member. The Rev. Virginia Heller will officiate. Memorials may be made to Keeler United Methodist Church or South Haven Area Hospice.
John is survived by his wife of 59 years, Evelyn; his two daughters -- Nancy (David) Parsons of Grand Haven, Mich., and Nina (Michael) Jason of Denver; four grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
