Mr Ruey, a veteran of the Spanish-American War was born in Orion township, one of eight children born to Henry G. & Sarah Addis Ruey. He was married in Canton Sept 1901 to Maude Baker who survives. There also survives three brothers, Frank, George and William Ruey with two sisters, Mrs Mary Williams, Canton and Mrs Jane Tyler of Peoria. Excerpt Peoria Star Mon Dec 20, 1943 p3
