Visitation is Tuesday from 5-9 p.m., at Brookhaven Funeral Home, and Wednesday from 1-2 p.m., at the church.
The Rev. Alexander, 91, died May 9, 2004, at Aston Court Assisted Living Center. He was born in Lincoln County on Dec. 8, 1912, to Edward Alexander and Lela Bales Alexander.
He was a retired Baptist minister and had pastored many churches throughout Mississippi for over 50 years. He was a member of Montgomery Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents; two wives, Edivee Wallace Alexander and Alice Alexander; and 13 brothers and sisters.
Survivors are his wife, Audrey Alexander of McCall Creek; his sons and daughters-in-law, B.J. and Lois Alexander of Morgan Mill, Texas, and James E. and Evelyn Alexander of Summit; his sister, Mildred Johnson of Summit; his brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Erma Stockton of Summit; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Billy Joe Case, Charles Lofton, Bill Alexander, Jim Alexander, Drew Alexander and Dustin Alexander. Honorary pallbearers will be the Men's Senior Adult Sunday School Class.
