Paul S. Seward was the son of Gad Seward and Elizabeth Thompson. He married Abigail Forbes, d/o Amos & Lucy (Trescott) FORBES.

The families of Nathan & Thankful (Hale) FORBES and Enos & Sarah (Goss) Seward came down from Granville, Massachusetts sometime between July 10, 1792 and April 27, 1793. They were also neighbors in Granville.
