She was born in the Wesley Chapel community of Union County on May 13, 1933 daughter to the late
Joe Cephus Deese and
Irene Jane Turner Deese (Jenny)
Pauline also known as "Polly" can be described as faithful, fun-loving, friendly, talkative, inquisitive, and hard-working. Polly was a faithful attendee and loyal member of Macedonia Baptist Church for over fifty years. She was a lover of reading, flowers, plants, animals, and sewing, and was an outstanding cook and baker.
She participated in sports at Wesley Chapel High School where she graduated in 1951, receiving the "best athlete award" in her sophomore year and serving as a marshal in her junior year. Polly was a proud employee and retired from Teledyne Allvac in 1998 after thirty years of service.

Eight brothers:
J.C., Tom, Roy, Phil, Horace, John, and Robert (infant), and Larry Deese.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at Gordon Funeral Chapel, 1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112 with burial to follow in Lakeland Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at Gordon Funeral Service and Crematory.
