ALICE C. GREENE, 80, of West Forest Avenue, a sales clerk at the former New York Lace Store in Pawtucket for 20 years, retiring in 1978, died Sunday at Cartie's Health Center in Central Falls. She was the widow of Carlton A. Greene.
Born in Central Falls, a daughter of the late Matthew and Alice (McAlpin) Bardsley, she had lived in Pawtucket most of her life. She was a member of the Woodlawn Baptist Church where she was also a member of the XYZ Fellowship and the Past President's Club of the Fellowship.
She was a member of Queen Esther Chapter No. 2, Order of the Eastern Star, and a member of the Social Order of Bauceants, Pawtucket Assembly No. 217, both of Pawtucket. She was a member of the AARP, Blackstone Valley Chapter No. 619 and was past president of the DeMolay Mother's Club.
She is survived by three sons, a sister, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was the sister of the late Francis Bardsley, Matthew D. Bardsley and Harold Bardsley.
