JOHN R. ALFORD OF BUENA VISTA DIES

John R. Alford, 70, farmer of near Buena Vista, died suddenly of a heart attack at seven o’clock Monday morning at his home. He was stricken at the breakfast table. He was related to Mrs. Sarah Jane Alford who succumbed near Buena Vista Sunday night.

Survivors of Mr. Alford are the widow; one daughter, Mrs. Pearl Schulte of Sandusky; three sons, Harry and Earl of near Buena Vista, and Laverne of Marion; one step-daughter, Mrs. Daisy Holsback of Adams; one stepson, Earl Noah of near Buena Vista; a sister, Mrs. Charles Hoffman of Brookville; three brothers, Riley, George and Frank Alford of Buena Vista; ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted from the Buena Vista Christian church Wednesday morning at ten o’clock with the Rev. Walter Crawley in charge. Interment will be in the Carmel cemetery, south of Clarksburg.

Friends may call at the home of his son, Harry Alford, near Buena Vista, any time to the hour of the services.
