Bobbie Estelle Minor Parks, 80, was reunited with her husband Wilson, on September 18, 2015. She had battled cancer for many years and finally is completely healed. A celebration of her life will be held at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield chapel on Monday, September 21 at 2 PM followed by burial in Guilford Memorial Park. The family will greet friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 1 PM to 1:45 PM.

Bobbie was one of seven children of the late Edgar James and Fannie Willette Minor. They have all predeceased her. She is survived by her children who adore her, Adelia D. McIntosh of the home, Stephen Dunn and wife Marlene of Greensboro, Charles "Wilson" Dunn of the home and Mary Cindy Mills who she and Wilson adopted after Bobbie's sister Marie, passed away at a young age. Also surviving are four grandchildren, two great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bobbie was a loving hands-on mother who provided a warm and loving home for her children. She loved to play games with them and was an open and honest confidant for them. She instilled in her children a love of life, the significance of working hard and to look for the positive in others. She had a boisterous laugh and a love of life. After the children became self-sufficient she felt it was time to work away from home. She held positions at Ramada Inn in Greensboro, Prestige Fabricators and Complex Molding and Tooling, both in Asheboro. Bobbie enjoyed tending her garden and became quite a good bowler even though she didn't start bowling until her 50's. Interacting with her friends at the Randleman Senior Center was one of her favorite activities but the sunshine in her life was her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bobbie didn't attend church regularly but she was a faithful woman who knew her Savior, Jesus Christ.
