Gus was born to August and Agnes (Carnahan) Didier Sr. in Fay, Okla. on April 17, 1924 and died on Saturday, Oct 26, 2013 in Weatherford, Ok. Gus was raised in the Fay area and attended Belle Rural Schools. He left school early to work alongside the family farm. Gus served in the United States Army as a combat Infantryman during the Normandy Campaign in WW II. He later met and married the love of his life, Nadine Lowe on Aug 9, 1952 in Thomas, Ok. They made their home in Watonga before moving back to the Fay area. He worked for the Rock Island Railroad, delivered milk, farmed, raised cattle and wheat. He attended the First United Methodist Church.
Gus enjoyed country music, dancing and spending time with his family. He is survived by his only grandchild, Kimberley Swinney and her husband, Russell of Weatherford, Ok; son-in-law, Bobby Eakins of Weatherford, Okla; three sisters, Justine Londagin of Ponca City, Ok, Pauline Ice of Fay, Ok, and Louise Baker of Norman, Ok; one brother, Bert Didier of Portland, Or. He was preceded in death by his parents August and Agnes Didier, wife, Nadine (Lowe) Didier; daughter, Shelley Eakins; one brother, Jimmy Didier.
