Lewisville - Jesse Wesley Ragland, 80, 70 year resident of Lewisville, died early Saturday in a Denton hospital after several days' illness.

A retired streetcar foreman for the old Dallas Transit Company, Ragland was born here October 25, 1874.

He attended the Broom Weed School and was a member of the Assembly of God Church.

He married Lena Chappell in Dallas. She preceded him in death in 1921.

His survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Hortense McInerney of Bronxville, N. Y.; two sons, James Ragland of Carrollton and John B. Ragland of Los Angeles, California and one sister, Mrs. Bessie Martin of Prosper.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm Wednesday in the Lewisville Assembly of God Church with the Rev. T. G. Shultz of Fort Worth officiating.

Burial will be in the Smith Cemetery north of here, under the direction of Schmitz Floyd Hamlett Funeral Home of Denton.
