He will be lovingly missed by his wife, Willa Mae Blum, after sharing their life together for 68 years. He is survived by daughters Jo Ann Mata and husband Carlos, Sandra Coman and husband Steve and son Joseph L. Blum, III (Pepe) and wife Carol, 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, as well as other relatives.
Mass will be celebrated Monday, June 30, 2008 at 10:00A.M. at Holy Cross Cemetery Chapel. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. His wife and children would like to thank the staff and caregivers who were so kind during his seven month stay at Oakwell Farms Regent Care. Also, we would like to express our appreciation for the kindness, loving care and support Mr. Blum and the family received from Vitas Hospice. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Vitas Hospice, 5430 Fredericksburg Rd. Ste #200 San Antonio, TX 78229. Arrangements are with: Sunset North Funeral Home.
