On Wednesday, October 28, 2015, Lilburn Loyd Hagins of Forney, Texas passed away at Baylor Hospital in Dallas, Texas at the age of 74. He was born on December 9, 1940 in Peach Orchard, Arkansas to William and Opal Hagins and raised in Texarkana, Texas. He was one of eleven sons and had one sister.

Loyd moved to Oak Cliff, Texas in 1959 where he met Betty Bean at Grace Temple Baptist Church. They were married on June 16, 1962 and moved to Mesquite, Texas the following year where they lived and raised their family until May 2015.

He worked for over 30 years at Dallas Power & Light Co., which was a subsidiary of Texas Utilities Company. He took an early retirement the company offered and work various jobs including greeter at the Cracker Barrel in Mesquite.

Spending time with his family and grandchildren, traveling and music were the things he loved to do. He had such a love and pride for his family.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Hagins of Forney, Texas; one son, Cameron Hagins of Plano, Texas and one son, Brandon and Stacy Hagins of Protection, Kansas, along with three grandchildren, Samantha, Kailey and Trenton Hagins of Protection, KS. Loyd is also survived by one brother, Wilburn Hagins of Queen City, TX and sister, Martha Youngblood of Doddridge, AR.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral with burial to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hugo, OK.
