Mrs. Clara Hoag

WALWORTH, Feb. 11 - Mrs. Clara Hoag, aged 55 years, died at Bixby hospital, Adrian, Saturday night at 8 o'clock. Mrs. Hoag had been in poor health for some time but was confined to her bed only since last Monday. She was taken to the hospital Thursday afternoon and her death resulted from a complication of diseases.

She was married in 1897 to Henry Hoag, who died September 27, 1928. Mr. and Mrs. Hoag and their family moved to Walworth from Illinois about five years ago. She was a member of the Presbyterian church of Brookfield, Ill., and the Rome Grange.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Lehnert of Chicago Heights, Ill., Mrs. Elizabeth [Carnahan] of Walworth; three sons, George, Harold, and William, at home; a step-daughter, Mrs. Frank Monroe of Denver, Colo.; three brothers, Victor Rose of Newton, Iowa, Elmer Rose of Seneca, Ill., Elgie Rose of Detroit; one sister, Mrs. Walter Clauser of Newton, Iowa and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held at the home Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The Rev. Edward Montgomery, pastor of the Adrian Presbyterian church, will officiate and the burial will be in the East Rome cemetery.
